AN UPDATE: SWEET DRIZZL’D STORIES

If you had told us a few months ago that people would be sharing their deepest secrets with a dessert shop, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. Yet here we are, sitting on a growing pile of confessions that range from unhinged to hilarious to genuinely heartfelt. And honestly, we’re honoured.

Since launching Sweet Drizzl’d Stories, our anonymous confessions campaign, we’ve received 50 confessions so far. We know that number might not sound massive at first glance, but to us it means everything. It takes courage to put your thoughts, mistakes, and cheeky moments into words and send them off into the world. Every submission reminds us that Drizzl’d isn’t just a place to eat dessert. It’s a place where people feel safe enough to share a piece of themselves.

And let’s talk about the confessions themselves.

Some were so personal, so raw, that we couldn’t bring ourselves to post them. Not because they weren’t worthy, but because they were just a little too real. Then, of course, we had the cultural moment that nearly broke us… whoever sent in the confession about the Haribo Sugar Free Demon Bears, you have single-handedly traumatised our entire team. We laughed, we cried, we questioned humanity, and we questioned fibre intake. That confession will go down as Drizzl’d history.

On top of that, we’ve given away $450 worth of gift vouchers so far to the stories that made us scream the loudest, laugh the hardest, or sit in stunned silence. Whether it was a cringe moment, a gutsy revelation, or something that could only be typed anonymously at two in the morning, we’ve loved rewarding the people brave enough to press submit.

We’re already thinking of expanding the rewards, adding new categories, and maybe even featuring some stories in-store for a cheeky laugh.
