IT’S BEEN AWHILE…

2026 has been a year focused on strengthening the foundations of Drizzl’d.

Over the past several months, our attention has been firmly placed on refining our systems, streamlining operational processes, and updating policies and procedures across the business. As we continue to grow, our priority remains ensuring every aspect of the business operates smoothly, consistently, and efficiently for both our customers and team members.

That said, it would be unfair to pretend the past six months have been easy.

Across Australia, businesses continue to face significant challenges. Rising operating costs, increasing supplier expenses, higher rents, and ongoing cost of living pressures have changed the way customers spend their money. We have seen businesses close their doors across multiple industries, and hospitality has certainly not been immune.

Rather than standing still, we chose to adapt.

Over the past six months, we have carefully reviewed our operations, refined our processes, improved efficiencies, and challenged ourselves to become a stronger business. These changes are not always visible to customers, but they are critical to ensuring Drizzl’d remains sustainable, relevant, and positioned for long-term growth. We believe that building a business for the future requires constant improvement, especially during difficult periods.

One of the highlights of the year has been the continued development of our social media presence. What started as a simple idea has evolved into something much bigger than we ever anticipated.

Our customer Confessions campaign has now surpassed 100 published confessions, creating a unique platform where people can anonymously share stories, secrets, embarrassing moments, and life experiences. Some have made us laugh uncontrollably. Some have left us speechless. Others have reminded us just how human we all are.

More importantly, the campaign has created something we never expected. It has brought people together. Customers who originally came to us for dessert are now engaging with the brand in a completely different way. The response has been overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful to every person who has trusted us with their story.

Internally, we recently completed our latest recruitment process and welcomed new talent into the business. We are excited about the experience, energy, and ideas our newest team members will bring to Drizzl’d.

Perhaps one of the achievements we are most proud of is our team culture.

Prior to our recent recruitment campaign, Drizzl’d achieved 15 consecutive months with a 100% staff retention rate. In an industry where high turnover is often considered normal, this milestone means a great deal to us. It reflects the commitment of our team, the relationships built within the business, and the environment we continue working hard to create.

To every staff member, both past and present, thank you. Your contribution has helped shape Drizzl’d into what it is today.

We have also been quietly working on something many of you have been asking for.

Over the years, we have received countless requests from customers wanting to enjoy Drizzl’d at home, share it with family and friends, or take it to special occasions. We have been developing and testing concepts behind the scenes, but we are not interested in releasing something simply for the sake of releasing it.

When it arrives, it needs to meet the standards our customers expect from us.

The good news is that progress is being made, and we are excited by the direction it is heading. We look forward to sharing more when the time is right.
