WHAT’S HAPPENED AFTER 100+ CUSTOMER CONFESSIONS??

100 plus confessions later, we’ve learnt that people have a lot more to get off their chest than we expected.

When we launched Sweet Drizzl’d Confessions, it was slow. Very slow.

There were definitely moments where we looked at each other and thought, what are we actually doing here?

The idea was simple. Give people somewhere to anonymously confess the things they probably wouldn’t say out loud, then let our community, now affectionately known as the DRIZZL’D Jury, decide what they thought.

At first, the confessions trickled in. It was like watching paint dry.

But weeks became months, months became a year, and something changed.

Today, we receive an average of around 22 anonymous confessions every week.

In the grand scheme of the internet, 22 might not sound like a huge number. To us, it means something much bigger. Every week, people are choosing Drizzl’d as somewhere they feel comfortable getting something off their chest.

Some confessions are hilarious. Some are wholesome. Others have genuinely divided our entire community. Relationships, friendships, family drama, workplace secrets and those questionable decisions you probably thought you’d take to the grave. We’ve heard a bit of everything.

And yes, they have definitely kept our team entertained.

More importantly, the Confessions have introduced Drizzl’d to an audience far beyond our Moonee Ponds dessert store.

Across a typical 30-day period, our content is now being exposed to more than one million views. We’ve gone well above that figure at different points this year and, yes, we’ve fallen below it too. Social media moves quickly. But the running average tells us that something which started as a slightly questionable idea has grown into an important part of the Drizzl’d world.

Perhaps that is because Drizzl’d Confessions was never really just about secrets.

It is about conversation.

One person confesses. Thousands read it. The Jury argues their case. Someone tags their friend. Someone else quietly thinks, I’ve done worse.

And somewhere amongst all of that, there’s dessert.

More than a year later, we’re still posting your stories, still reading every submission and still wondering what some of you were thinking.

And after everything you’ve trusted us with, we can proudly confirm one thing:

We still haven’t snitched on anybody.

Got something you need to get off your chest?

The Confessional is always open.
